Local City in Smoke-Free Transition
Smoking ordinances are hotly debated, and they now exist in about ten Kentucky cities. Lacey Steele brings us more on a city added to that list not too long ago.

I do not see why someone can't go an hour without smoking. I do not want to eat and have smoke blowing in my face. I have smokers in my family and they respect the fact that others maynot want to inhale that junk to begin with much less while we are eating. What is the big deal with just waiting until you get to the car to smoke. It sure will not kill people to wait to do so.

Don't waste any money building patios or outdoor heaters for your smoking customers. Experience is showing that once the ban lobbyists find gullible lawmakers and get a foot in the door, there's no stopping them. They are instructed to keep returning every year until ALL exemptions are gone. California, where these bans started, has succeeded in getting bans in private residences in some areas. Now that the Pandoras Box has been opened, it's only a matter of time. Here are their instructions. Next year, they'll return as the "coalition for smoke free patios", casinos, homes, or whatever they get a whim to do.

I call this discrimination, I smoke and i still go to smoke-free restaurant i do not have a problem with this, but i should express that my concern are with the drunk drivers that are leaving the restaurant, i do not drink , so i should not be exposed to alochol with my family while i am having a meal. This sitution goes both ways, some agrees and some dissagree, it is what it is, we have no voice on this matter, you are either going to stay home and cook or you will go to a resturant. My decision is if you don't allow smoking, then don't allow alcohol, just keep in mind if you are in charge of the place of business and that drunk driver leaves and on the way home his kills a family, HOW MUCH WILL YOU THINK OF SMOKING?

if they are going to ban smoking, then it should be illegal to sell any tobacco product in that city !!!

I am a non-smoker, but I feel that the individual businesses should have the right to determine if they are going to be smoke free or not. If I want to go to a smoking establishment, then that is my choice. It is a choice, leave it to us. Why is it that the few are controling the many?
