Kentucky's Department of Criminal Investigations today announced the arrest of Larry Maitland, of Paris in Bourbon county, on five counts of possession of child pornography - a Class D felony.

Thirty-year-old Maitland was arrested by the Paris Police Department on Monday following an investigation by the office of the Attorney General's Cybercrimes Unit.

Maitland has waived his right to have his case heard by a grand jury.

He is currently lodged in the Bourbon County Jail on a 50-thousand dollar bond.

No arraignment date has been set in Bourbon Circuit Court.
