Russell Co. Pot Bust Leads To One Arrest
Yesterday evening, Kentucky State Police responded to a complaint and found a marijuana plant in plain view in the bed of a pickup truck parked at the residence.

A Russell Springs man is in custody after police found nearly 90 marijuana plants at his home.
Yesterday evening, Kentucky State Police responded to a complaint and found a marijuana plant in plain view in the bed of a pickup truck parked at the residence.
Police say 87 more plants were found inside the residence, as well as an active indoor grow in the garage.
Fifty-year-old Avalee Smith was arrested and charged with cultivating marijuana five plants or more, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking in marijuana less than eight-ounces.
He's lodged in the Russell County Jail.
