A Kentucky State Trooper loses his life in a car accident, while in the line of duty.
Jonathan Leonard was killed when his cruiser collided with another vehicle last night in Pike County, Ky.
The accident happened northeast of Pikeville on US 119. Leonard was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was flown to University of Kentucky Medical Center, in Lexington, Ky.
Leonard had worked for the agency for three years, all at the Pikeville post.

He was the 24th trooper killed in the line of duty in the agency's 58-year history and the first since 1988.
