Western received a 99-percent pass rate for those who took the 2001-2002 Praxis II exam.
Those results combined with the outcome of the Kentucky Teacher Internship Program and the score on the New Teacher Survey, led to an excellent ranking for the university.
Western is the only public institution to score this high and receive this ranking. The only other schools to score above Western were private institutions.
