The body of an Indiana man who drowned in Lake Cumberland more than three months ago, is identified.
Russell County Emergency Management Director, H.M. Bottom said Roger Pierce drowned in a boating accident Sept. 8.
Bottom said authorities spent three weeks searching without any success.
Pierce's body was recovered after his family called in Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue. The volunteer group helps with victim searches throughout the country.
They used a side scan sonar, which is a system that produces high-resolution images underwater, to locate the body.
