More is expected to be known later today concerning the murder of a Hart County woman.
On Christmas Eve the Hart County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a woman saying her daughter had been missing for two days.
On Christmas Day the Sheriff’s department found the body of Brandy Waffird of Horse Cave. Her body was found in a wooded area off of Rowlett’s Cave Springs Road.
Preliminary autopsy results indicate foul play. Kentucky State Police say further investigation led to a suspect, James Hodges also of Horse Cave.
He is currently charged with sodomy in the first and is lodged in Hart County Jail. The investigation continues.
