HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas says a North Carolina man, accused of dumping the body of a former roommate along Interstate 64 in April, has been arrested.
McComas says 39-year-old Erick Deickman was found at an apartment in Bardstown, Kentucky about 4 p.m. Wednesday. McComas says a girlfriend led police to Deickman after she was stopped while driving his vehicle.
Deickman is in the Nelson County Detention Center in Kentucky. Deputies did not know if he has an attorney.
The Cabell County Sheriff's Office issued an arrest warrant in June for Deickman, a resident of Morehead City, North Carolina. Sheriff Tom McComas said at the time Deickman was wanted for felony concealment of the body of Andrew Mulvany of Carteret County, N.C.
Mulvany's body was found in a sealed, industrial-sized garbage can in April. State medical examiners concluded the man's death was a homicide.
