The Kentucky Lottery Board surprised the state when it voted 6-1 Friday to bring in the casino style game, Keno.
Keno is basically a cross between bingo and powerball. Governor Patton proposed the new game as a way to offset the projected loss of 70-Million dollars Kentucky could lose when Tennessee starts its lottery next year.
State Treasurer Jonathan Miller cast the only dissenting vote in the move to bring Keno to Kentucky.
He suggested that the introduction of the game be sanctioned by the General Assembly or through a constitutional amendment approved by voters.
