FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongairdo picked up more than $300,000 in the second quarter for his U.S. Senate campaign.
That was more than $1 million less than another Democratic contender raised. Attorney General Jack Conway banked more than $1.3 million in the second quarter.
Mongiardo released his second-quarter fundraising total on Wednesday. That brought his take for the year to $732,546. He reported $485,866 cash on hand.
Mongiardo and Conway are vying for the Democratic Party nomination to run for the Senate seat now held by Republican Jim Bunning.
Bunning hasn't yet filed a second-quarter fundraising report.
