The cold temperatures didn't stop a group of health care professionals from protesting state Medicaid cuts at a rally in Bowling Green. The coalition known as A.R.M.S (Advocates for Restoring Medicaid Services) organized the event.

A similar rally was held recently in Burkesville, the hometown of Senate President David Williams. They chose Bowling Green because it's the home of House Speaker Jody Richards. The group will rally in Frankfort on December 16.Since the Patton administration cut funding and changed regulations, the group says hundreds of Kentuckians have been denied nursing homes, and thousands of Kentuckians have been denied home health care.

Richards contacted the group and is planning to set up a meeting with them.
