President Bush returns to Washington today to finish preparing his State of the Union message.
Bush will also call in his support to the annual anti-abortion rally marking the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe versus Wade decision.
Bush has previewed some of Tuesday night's speech in an interview with USA-Today, telling the newspaper he will warn Americans that “what happens in Iraq matters to your security here at home.”
The President also said the war on terror will be a problem for his successors.
According to aides, Bush will again defend the Iraq troop buildup plan to the Democrat controlled Congress. The speech will also emphasize ways he and Democrats can work together on energy, immigration, and other issues.
