The Bowling Green, Ky., based company acquired Vanity Fair Corporation's longstanding intimate-apparel line. Vanity Fair Corporation officials said the sale will make the clothing line more profitable despite the immediate negative impact.
Fruit of the Loom plans to operate the new businesses as a subsidiarity called Vanity Fair Brands.
