Many people piled into Target Saturday morning for the annual Christmas Shopping for Children. Every year the Bowling Green Firefighters Association takes several local children shopping for the holidays. This year over 40 kids got the opportunity to shop with a firefighter.
Various community agencies like Community Action of South Central Kentucky pick the kids to help give the less fortunate a chance to have new things like coats, clothes and toys.
All of the money that went to pay for the childrens’ gifts came from donations from the community, local businesses, and fundraisers. If you would like to donate money to the program you can stop by any fire house in Bowling Green or for more information call the Bowling Green Fire Department at 393-3611.
