A Hopkins Circuit Judge ordered Russel Winstead's trial to be moved to Muhlenberg County and scheduled it to begin August 14th.
Winstead is charged with killing his 85-year-old-aunt, Ann Branson.
Branson was a well-known Madisonville business-woman.
She was found stabbed to death in the basement of her home in January 2003.
Winstead was arrested in May 2005 outside a hotel in Costa Rica.
As part of the extradition agreement prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty.
Hopkins Circuit Judge James Brantley said yesterday that a number of factors entered into his decision and enough factors have "accumulated" that he felt it necessary to make the move.
