Kentucky Soldier Funeral

Sergeant John Cooper was one of four soldiers killed earlier this month in Mosul when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle.

Family, friends and supporters gathered at Fleming County High School in northeastern Kentucky to remember Cooper. His brother told gatherers he feels a swelling of pride when he thinks of Cooper's service.

Terry Cooper says his brother's death made him feel a pride he's never felt before.

Cooper's two young nieces read poems at the service, and a group of patriotic motorcycle riders also attended.

Cooper was awarded the Bronze Star, the Combat Infantry Badge and a Purple Heart after his death.
