Barbaro’s final resting place could be just a few-hundred yards from the scene of his greatest triumph.
Officials at the Kentucky Derby Museum say they’d be honored if Barbaro were buried in a garden along with four other Derby winners.
Barbaro was euthanized yesterday, Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, after an eight-month battle with a broken leg.
Owners Gretchen and Roy Jackson say a final decision on where Barbaro will be buried has not been made. Another possibility could be the Jackson’s farm.
