“Penguins” will plunge at the Sloan Convention Center again this year.
Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky is bringing back one of the coolest events in Bowling Green.
“The Plunge is coming out to the Convention Center. Aqualand sets up an outdoor pool, filled up with cold water and you just jump in,” said Heather Rogers, president of Junior Achievement.
Individuals and teams from the community are required to raise a minimum of $50, which also pays for the ticket to plunge.
The event is designed to raise funds and awareness for Junior Achievement’s business and economic programs for local students.
Participants in The Plunge have historically dressed up like penguins for the event; however a costume is not required.
The event is scheduled for Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. If you want to register to plunge call 270-782-0208 or visit www.southcentralky.ja.org.
