Video from the robot sent inside the Warren County home where Russell Sublett was "holed-up" more than two years ago, was shown in his trial in federal court today, Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007.
The video shows Sublett actually getting shot in the shoulder and later, he shows the camera where a nine-millimeter slug lodged in his left hand. This occurred during a hail of bullets shot into the home from law enforcement weapons.
During a calmer period, Sublett tells a crisis negotiator he doesn't want a lawyer and he doesn't want a pine box, he wants to be cremated.
Sublett is charged with trying to kill ten law enforcement officers and carjacking, during a high-speed chase through Barren and Warren Counties, September 29, 2004.
Sublett's attorney said his client never tried to kill anyone. He was trying to provoke the police into killing him.
If convicted, Sublett could get life in prison.
