Some area union workers are receiving an early Christmas gift this year. Workers at the Invensys Plant in Russellville finally reached an agreement with the company after striking for more than a month.
The compromise comes as a surprise to many. Union leaders didn't expect an agreement to be reached until after the holidays. Starting the Monday after Christmas all of the workers will be back to work.
The four factors worked into the compromise include overtime pay, long term disability, better insurance and health care plans.
