The Kentucky Public Service Commission says its decision is final in the case of Kentucky-American Water Company. The commission Wednesday rejected requests for a second hearing on its order approving the company's sale to a German conglomerate.

It's part of a larger deal involving the purchase of Kentucky-American's parent company by the German company RWE. Opponents of the sale, including the attorney general's office and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, wanted a rehearing.
