If you're using outdoor extension cords to illuminate your festive displays this year, you may want to double check the brand name of those cords.
A New Jersey company is recalling more than 60,000 outdoor extension cords that were sold nationwide at Family Dollar stores.
The concern is possible faulty plugs attached to the cords that may be a shock hazard, though no reports of such incidents have been received yet. Cords affected are those with the label attached containing the code E174825. They were sold between June and November of this year.
If you have one of these cords, you are encouraged to return it to any Family Dollar store for a refund, or call 1-800-682-0097.
