Iran Earthquake
Iran is receiving help from the United States and other countries after an earthquake kills more than 20,000 people.

Forty-five foreign planes including America’s have landed in the county bearing aid and rescue workers rush to find survivors.

The United States is sending 75 tons of medical supplies and around 200 medical experts and rescuers.

The U.S. has no diplomatic relations with Iran, and last year President Bush said the country was part of an “axis of evil” with pre-war Iraq and North Korea.

The earthquake that hit the city of Bam had a magnitude of 6.6. Officials working in the relief operation have said the death toll could rise to 40,000. Bam has a population of 80,000.
