The Medical Center is caring for newborn triplets for the first time since the 1970’s.
Addie, Chloe and Braden Harvey were born Sunday night, Feb. 4, 2007, at around 11:30 p.m.
The Medical Center was able to deliver the babies because of their updated technology. In the past, the Medical Center was unable to care for multiples because their technology was not as advanced as other hospitals.
Kathy Harvey and her husband Brad say they are thrilled they get to keep their babies close to home.
“It’s amazing. I thought if I could push to 34 then by some grace of God we would be able to keep them here with us,” Kathy said.
Kathy said she is unsure how long her triplets will have to stay in the newborn ICU. The Medical Center may be expanding their newborn ICU to care for more newborns.
