The Mammoth Cave man accused of murdering his step-mother in her home is arraigned in court today.

According to the Edmonson County Circuit Court Clerk's Office, Ricky Wells pleaded not guilty today, and was assigned a public defender.

Wells is charged with shooting his 69-year-old stepmother Lucille Wells to death in her Brownsville home.

He'll be in court again on December 21st.
