A Bowling Green man was killed Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident here in town.
The Warren County Sheriff's Department tells WBKO 57 year old Dennis Nuyt turned on to Hilltopper Drive off Russellville Road and sped up quickly.
He veered off the road and hit a tree.
Nuyt's truck came to rest at the corner of Diddle Street and Hilltopper Drive.
Rescue workers used the jaws of life to remove Nuyt from his truck and took him to The Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Nuyt was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
