Another local school is also starting to feel the effects of the state budget cuts.

Bowling Green Technical College faces major financial cutbacks. Thursday night the school's board of directors met to review their agenda. Members on the board heard just how much Bowling Green Tech will be hurt by the cuts.

President Jack Thomas tells WBKO they're paying the state $210,000. He says the biggest problem is deciding how to handle the cuts.

Thomas says, "We went over several steps we could take as institution to limit the impact on students. That might be this coming fall to actually to limit the enrollment, to raise the standards to get into the school, and of course there’s always tuition increases which would really hurt students."

WBKO has also learned Bowling Green Technical will be opening a campus in the transpark. The 23,000 square foot building will coast around $5.5 million. The campus will offer continued programs from the main campus.
