Frito-Lay Recall

Frito-Lay is recalling bags of corn chips sold in Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, southern Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Most of the bags were sold in vending machines.

The company says some barbecue-flavored chips in a shipment of Fritos Original Flavored Corn Chips could cause an allergic reaction in some people.

Of the 86-hundred bags, about eleven-hundred were marked as Fritos Original that actually contain barbecue flavoring. The company says people allergic to soy can develop a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat the flavoring.

They have a freshness date of Sept. 10. The code under that date is 5342 186 293.

For more information, contact Frito-Lay at (800) 352-4477.
