Two Glasgow Independent School System principals suspended for alleged inappropriate behavior are being reinstated.
Last week, Glasgow High School Principal Kelly Bell and Glasgow Middle School Principal Randy Wilkinson were suspended with pay after Superintendent Fred Carter received an email from a student accusing Bell of having inappropriate messages with Wilkinson on her personal cell phone.
Bell then accused several students of hacking into her phone and altering the messages.
The school board and Glasgow Police Department investigated.
A statement from Dr. Carter to WBKO Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, said, "Effective Thursday, February 22, 2007, we are re-instating the principals to their respective schools. No charges or disciplinary action will be taken against any student as a result of this situation or investigation."
Carter said the entire issue has now been resolved and he will make no further statement about it.
We were unable to reach Kelly Bell or Randy Wilkinson.
