If this winter weather has you unsure of the road conditions in your area there is a helpful number you can call. 5-1-1 is Kentucky's traffic and travel information line.
This weekend the line was bombarded with callers wanting to find out road conditions.
The phone line usually receives 56,000 calls a month, but this past Sunday more than 32,000 calls were logged in one day.
Keirsten Jaggers, of the Kentucky Transportation Department, says, "Your basic road conditions, and this is something that's updated every minute. On the website it's updated every 15 minutes, and they would find out the latest road conditions for that area."
Just a reminder, the phone line only has state roads, so many residential streets may not be available through 5-1-1.
