HARRODSBURG, Ky. (AP) -- A central Kentucky woman and another person have been indicted on charges that they murdered the woman's mother, who was found suffocated with a plastic bag over her head.

A Mercer County grand jury indicted 22-year-old Meagan Nicole Brooks of Harrodsburg and 36-year-old Paul E. Estes of Lancaster. The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the two are charged with killing 43-year-old Debbie Brooks of Harrodsburg.

Debbie Brooks was an employee of Charleston Health Care in Danville and lived in Harrodsburg. She was found dead May 20 in her apartment.

Arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 13 in Mercer County Circuit Court. Meagan Brooks and Estes are being held on $200,000 bond each.
