St. Jude Children's Research Hospital treats almost five-thousand children each year - from all fifty-states, and all over the world - never turning away any child for lack of funds.

But that transition from home to hospital for treatment can be a scary one for any child and their family.

Chris Allen and videographer Jon Doss introduce us to one of many St. Jude specialists, who's job is to help make that transition a little smoother.

Kristjana Smith is a child life specialist at St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. She and her team work as distractors, making sure the kids who come for treatment still get a chance to be kids for a while.

Whether it's spending time with the therapy dogs down the hall, just getting the chance to play outside on the playground, Kristjana works closely with doctors and parents to make sure the kids get a recess.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from each one hundred dollar Dream Home ticket sold goes directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
