Cumberland County Flooding

Law enforcement and emergency crews had their hands full in Cumberland County Wednesday as they kept a constant watch on flood waters.

Many banks off Marrowbone Creek were washed out, many bridges covered, and many roads too dangerous to pass.

Officials say in some places, the water may be as much as 15 feet deep and they are urging residents to stay away.

While some people still have access to main roads, others don't. And for those who are homebound because of flood waters, emergency crews are standing by with boats in case someone needs to get across.

Sheriff James Pruitt tells us he's seen flooding in Cumberland County before, but never quite this bad.
