Bowling Green has a new Judicial Circuit Judge. Tuesday morning John Riedlinger Grise was sworn in by former Circuit Court Judge John Minton.

Judge Grise has practiced law since 1984. He was appointed by Governor Ernie Fletcher when Judge Minton was elected to the Court of Appeals

Grise says he's excited to take on the new challenges.

Grise says, "It is an emotional day. I'm very excited and happy to move forward this job. At the same time, I've had a great law practice. I've loved practicing law and I had a great law firm to practice in. So there's some mixed emotions with it. But I'm very much ready to move forward and look forward to the future.

Before his appointment Judge Grise was a partner at Kerrick, Grise, Stivers and Coyle.
