Amy Nunn was arrested Friday afternoon after being stopped by police on the Natcher Parkway.
She is accused of capitol murder and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the January shooting death of her husband in Glasgow.
Joseph Nunn was killed from three 22-caliber shots to the back of his head.
Amy told police her husband was killed during an attempted robbery. She was not considered a suspect at the time.
However, Glasgow Assistant Chief Hugh England says Amy's story contains quote "many inconsistencies".
The court issued an indictment early this week.
Amy Nunn had been working in Bowling Green and living in Metcalfe County since her husband's death.
Police say Nunn was not trying to hide from authorities and didn't know an indictment had been issued at the time of her arrest.
Nunn is currently lodged in the Barren County jail.
