The 1999 Greenbelt system that’s helping connect parks, schools and other points of interest in Bowling Green is expanding. As the project continues to grow, input from the community is needed.

Around 15 Bowling Green High School students and representatives of Greenways Commission went door-to-door Saturday to help figure out what residents want.

Most residents asked for more sidewalks and bike trails.

The latest proposal by Greenways Commission is safer routes to Natcher Elementary. The proposed plan would have sidewalks on Cave Mill Road between Small House and Grider Pond Road and a path from Natcher Elementary to Shawnnee estates.

The estimated cost is over $400,000.
