Fort Campbell and Ft. Knox are among the Army bases that will be visited, following problems found at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Officials will visit Ft. Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital and Ft. Knox’s Ireland Army Community Hospital as part of their study.
They will examine outpatient care, building conditions and the information given to patients.
The teams of inspectors will include Army officers and civilian employees of the Army’s medical command. They will also study medical administrative procedures.
There are no details on when the visits will begin but the commander of Ft. Campbell’s hospital said he welcomes the inspection team
