After 9/11 the threat of terrorists in the U.S. became a problem in cities like New York and Washington, D.C.

And even though Bowling Green isn't as metropolitan as those areas the U.S. Department of Justice Office of "Community Oriented Policing Services" feel citizens here could benefit from the classes.

Lt. Colonel J.W. Wells says, "What we teach in the classes is an overview of what terrorism is, its definitions and what that means to folks who are not in the law enforcement profession. In those classes there will be a Powerpoint presentation, some videos, and we don't give a test, obviously! Of course, it's free of charge."

For more information on the terrorism training classes call Lieutenant Colonel J.W. Wells at the Bowling Green Police Department.
