Simpson County authorities arrest a Franklin couple on charges of illegal drug activity.

Agents with the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force served a search warrant on state street in Franklin Thursday night.

There they arrested 32-year-old William Minnix and 28-year-old Casey Renew for illegal drug activity and wanton endangerment of a child.

A two-year-old boy was taken into police custody and treated at the Franklin Medical Center for exposure to anhydrous ammonia.

Minnix and renew were lodged in the Simpson County Detention facility.

His bond was set at $20,000 while hers was set at $15,000.
