A convicted triple-murderer who escaped from the Kentucky State Reformatory the morning of March 13, 2007, is back behind bars.
Corrections officers said 46-year-old Michael Brunner was convicted of three murders in Louisville in 1993. Brunner was discovered missing around 9:30 a.m. ET, on March 13, 2007, then apprehended around 10 a.m. He is serving a life sentence for the murders, plus time for burglary and an attempted escape from the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville.
Seven Oldham County schools were locked down while officers searched for Brunner.
