The Girl Scouts are celebrating their 95th birthday by giving back to the community. Bowling Green Girl Scouts gave baskets full of baby items to the first girls born on March 13, 2007, at T.J. Samson in Glasgow and at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
Felicia Bland with the Girl Scouts said they’re giving back in honor of the organization’s mission of making the world a better ace.
“Because our girls take pride and we do help our community, we just wanted to do something a extra special,” Bland said.
On March 14 the girls are also preparing birthday boxes that will be given to area shelters. Shelters plan on using the boxes to celebrate the birthdays of those living in shelters.
The week-long celebration ends Friday with a pool party at the T.C. Cherry pool.
If you are interested in attending, you can pre-register by calling 842-8138 by Thursday, March 15.
