The first construction clinic for the 10th Annual BB&T All-American Soap Box Derby was held on Saturday at Phil Moore Park.
Participants got advice and help from experienced Soap Box volunteers.
The derby gives everyone involved a chance to have fun and help others at the same time.
"This events raises money for the Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green... money that we give back to other children's charities within the community, so it's great all around. The kids can enjoy an event that helps raise money for other children", says Soap Box Derby Volunteer David Holland.
Additional clinics will be held on Saturday, April 21st and May 5th.
Photo and inspection day will also be on May 5th.
All of this helps the drivers gear up for race week and the big day on Saturday, May 19th.
