Amy Milliken made history Thursday, becoming the first woman to be appointed Warren County Attorney. Milliken, 32, has served as Assistant County Attorney for the last eight years. She says that experience will be invaluable in making the transition to lead the office.

A near-record crowd packed the standing-room-only Warren County Courthouse to witness the historic swearing-in ceremony.

Warren County Judge Executive Mike Buchanon appointed Milliken after former County Attorney Mike Caudill resigned amidst an investigation into allegations he misused public funds.

Milliken says she is excited about the challenge ahead and pledged to continue her office's efforts to prosecute child-support payment cases.
