Some area school leaders are hoping a new "bright" idea will help save energy and money for schools. Recently the Warren County school system started an energy conservation program. Energy educator, Jay Wilson, has been visiting schools and tracking electricity, water, and natural gas use.

Teachers say they've been encouraged to save energy by turning off the lights or computers. Since the program started two months ago, the district has saved seventy thousand dollars, and they hope to save more than three million during the eight years.
