A Glasgow Internet pharmacy supplier has its registration suspended. The Drug Enforcement Agency announced the suspension of the federal controlled substance registration of Richie Pharmacal.
The DEA said the Glasgow, Ky., company was selling large amounts of controlled substances to Internet pharmacies. It adds the investigation showed several of the company's largest buyers of hydrocodone were distributing the controlled substances to prescriptions that weren't for legitimate medical purposes.
Richie Pharmacal will be given an opportunity for an administrative hearing. After the hearing, a final decision will be made on whether the company's registration should be permanently revoked.
