It was four years ago today, Sunday, April 1st, that American troops entered a hospital in Iraq and rescued Private Jessica Lynch.
Lynch had been held captive in the hospital since her unit was ambushed and attacked by Iraqi troops eleven days earlier.
Lynch sustained severe injuries including a head wound, broken arm, two broken legs, broken foot, broken ankle, and an injury to her spine.
