Two people are behind bars charged with abusing a child.

State Police say 23-year-old Amanda Greenfield, of Utica, and 22-year-old Andrew Greenfield, of Owensboro, were arrested on an indictment warrant issued by an Ohio County grand jury.

According to police, the arrests were the result of an ongoing investigation into the injuries of an infant that occurred in July of this year.

The Greenfield's are being held in the Ohio County Jail.
