Simpson County detectives say they’ve possibly found the mother in the case of the baby abandoned on a Franklin, Ky., doorstep.
Baby John Doe was found by a Hispanic family at a vacant duplex apartment back in February of this year.
In a statement made to WBKO, Simpson County detectives say the family has given a description of someone they knew who was pregnant at the time Baby John Doe was abandoned.
The Simpson County Sheriff’s office has since obtained a picture of the woman and is now in the process of trying to interview her along with a possible witness in the case.
However, the Sheriff’s office said there’s no guarantee this lead will pan out.
Baby John Doe remains in good condition and is still in Foster care.
