Sam's Club gets yet another step closer to Bowling Green at Tuesday's City Commission Meeting.
The Commission voted unanimously to approve a municipal order authorizing the mayor to finalize an agreement with the Transportation Cabinet, the Department of Highways, and the City of Bowling Green in relation to the new road project that would give access to Sam's.
The project would extend a five-lane section of Alvaton Road and connect it with Shive Lane. It would also add a new road called Ken Bale Boulevard from Scottsville Road to Shive Lane. The state will contribute $800,000 towards the project, the Bale Family will provide another $400,000, and the City will also spend an estimated $400,000.
