The incoming president-elect of Western Kentucky University's Student Government Association is under investigation for allegations of misspending student funds.
SGA officials discovered what they term "questionable spending" last Friday while reviewing expense reports. The questions concern a $5,000 account the SGA has with campus food services for official business each year. Nearly $600 in spending from that account is under scrutiny.
At the center of that scrutiny is Nick Todd, the SGA's president-elect. Todd has been unavailable for comment.
Western's administration and campus police are investigating the matter, but any official disciplinary action isn't expected to come from the school until after the school year is over, while Todd is scheduled to take office next Tuesday.
